Personality: Snarky, but when she likes you you're in for life, a bit gossipy and very opinionated. Can have a nasty streak.

Likes/Dislikes: likes flying and komodo chicken, and mint cigarettes. Dislikes "perfect" people, the kind that roll out of bed looking amazing

Personality: Mika can be a bit snarky, but once she likes someone she is a friend for life. Because of her job, she knows a lot of the comings and goings in Republic City. She is naturally gossipy, but she can always be trusted to keep a secret. Born into a poor family, with 4 younger mouths to feed, she had to grow up quick. She often gets frustrated with people her own age when their actions confuse her. Despite all of her rough edges, and there are plenty, her heart is in the right place with a strong sense of right and wrong.

History: Mika is the oldest of 5 children. Her mother was a poor Earth Kingdom woman, and each of her children has a different father. After the last man left when Mika was 7 she convinced her mother to move to Republic City. A year later, the family immigrated to Republic City to get work. Mika and her mother work hard to make sure that the younger children (ages 14, 11, 8, and 5) have a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs. When Mika's mother found out that the Avatar Academy was accepting applications, she kept presuring Mika to follow her dreams and apply.

Mika works part time to help take care of her younger siblings, and goes to school with hopes to better herself.  Mika has a free spirit, and an intense romantic streak much like the Air Nomads of old. The nuns asked her to take the vows at the Air Temple when they found out she was an air bender, but she claimed that she fell for the tempations of meat, men, and cigarettes too easily. She was actually worried about her family. Mika works part time as a courier for the Council, since her air bending makes her the fastest courier out there.

Talents: She uses air bending when she smokes to keep the tar and toxins out of her lungs. All of the nicotine, none of the cancer!

Fun facts: She likes ride her glider like a surf board.

Physical description: Mika has long brown hair she keeps in a braid wrapped around her head, it's supposed to keep it out of her eyes but little strands escape no matter what happens (she claims it's her mothers untamable Earth Kingdom hair that causes this) . Her skin is pale, with grey-green eyes. She is 5'8" and thin. The clothes she wears the most often are reddish-brown pants, a orange undershirt with a yellow overshirt, and black boots. Sometimes if she is visiting the air temple she'll wear something similar to robes.
